The 59-year-old actress - who plays Eileen Grimshaw on the long-running soap - has spent the last two weeks living in the Australian jungle on the ITV reality show and her colleagues who also work on the cobbles are really getting into watching her alongside her fellow campmates Charlene White, Chris Moyles and Mike Tindall.

Ellie Leach - the 21-year-old actress who stars as Faye Windass - told the Daily Star newspaper: "We've been loving Sue."

Colson Tinker - the actor behind Craig Tinker - agreed, telling the outlet: “Sue is coming across really well.”

The 24-year-old soap star also spilled that Sue is “a good influence” to the cast and crew and send her love.

Colson said: "She really is a good influence for us in the Street and that's what she's doing in the jungle. We're all rooting for her."

Sue has been joined in the jungle by former health secretary Matt Hancock and she joked about the need to “plan a revolution” after quipping he spends “all day sleeping”.

She said: "It's come to my attention he's there all day sleeping.

I don't think he's showing leadership qualities. It's not what the people need. I think we need to plan a revolution."

"He just sits on his red chair, I've not heard him talk to any of his ministers about their role and how it's going in the job so I don't think that can carry on for very much longer. Watch this space."
