The former 'Great British Bake Off' presenter is set to front Channel 4's upcoming one-off festive special.

As reported by the Daily Star newspaper's Hot TV column, the programme will see celebrities together at an Alpine resort for an epic seasonal showdown.

The famous contestants will be tasked with building the best snow and ice creations with the held of a team of experts and engineers.

The show will culminate with the stars having to build the greatest snowman, and producers are expecting plenty of seasonal innuendo for good measure.

An insider told the publication: "It's the ultimate wintry feel-good show. Who doesn't love an ice sculpture or a snowman?

"And with Sue in charge, we are expecting lots of puns about 'snow balls' and 'snow globes.' "

The show is set to be Sue's first project for Channel 4 since 2003 as the host of 'RI:SE', while she appeared on 'Celebrity Big Brother' the previous year after a stint alongside Mel Giedroyc hosting 'Light Lunch' and 'Late Lunch' in the 1990s.

Neither Mel nor Sue made the jump to C4 when 'Bake Off' moved from the BBC in 2016, and the duo previously admitted they no longer watch the show after their exit.

Sue said: "I just think it would make me sad to watch it.

"We gave it everything we had and we made a decision that was easy to make, but hard sometimes to reflect upon. You just wish it well."

Mel added: "But also, and I know this sounds disingenuous, but I have only just watched our series.

"I have watched bits and bobs.

"I am very late to the game. But I haven’t watched 'The Wire' yet, either."
