Sky1 have today announced their plans to broadcast Supergirl just three days after the US, with the show premiering in the UK on October 29 at 8pm after the American premiere on CBS on October 26.

Director of Sky1 Adam MacDonald comments: "I am delighted to announce Supergirl is coming to Sky1. We've already seen in the success of The Flash and Arrow that comic-book characters are a big hit with our customers, and with this fresh, fast-paced new series, we're giving them another sure-fire superhero smash."

Melissa Benoist stars in the titular role alongside Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, David Harewood as Hank Henshaw and Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen. Jenna Dewan-Tatum takes on the role of Lucy Lane, whilst an array of villains have already been announced for the show including Red Tornado (Iddo Goldberg), Maxwell Lord (Peter Facinelli), Livewire (Brit Morgan) and Non (Chris Vance).

Produced by Warner Bros TV, the show comes from writers and executive producers Greg BErlanti and Ali Adler as well as executive producer Sarah Schechter.
