Tamera Foster wants to be given a chance to prove herself and isn't ashamed of her past.
The 16-year-old singer has impressed the judging panel - comprised of Gary Barlow, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger -week after week on the talent show, but found herself in the bottom two on week four.
Tamera has also had to defend herself from criticism after admitting to experimenting with drugs and being accused of violent and bullying behaviour.
But the pop hopeful insists her mistakes have been an integral part of her journey to where she is now and Tamera hopes people will be prepared to give her a second chance.
In a series of Twitter posts on Monday (11.11.13), she said: "I just wanna clear a few things up, a lot of people have Been judging me on my past, as if to say I'm the only teenager that's done wrong. By no means am I using that to justify myself, but it's true, & to be honest I don't regret anything not because I'm proud because it's made me into the person I am today and that's a better one. Sometime you have to go through a whole lot of bad to receive the good. I just hope people can recognise the change and give me a chance. (sic)"
Tamera - who has been likened to a young Beyonce - also insisted her destiny is now in her own hands.
She tweeted: "The best way to predict your future is to create it."
The young starlet will be singing to try and stay in 'The X Factor' for another week this Saturday (16.11.13).
