Tamera Foster

Tamera Foster has said she wants to be "as big as Beyonce".

The 16-year-old 'X Factor' hopeful brushed off criticism from head judge Gary Barlow after he compared her to the US superstar following her performance of 'Listen' during Movies Week on the show, and she is hopeful that the success of the Destiny's Child former member can be emulated in her own career.

Tamera said: "I kind of expected it, as I'd dyed my hair and wore a Beyonce-style dress. But being compared to Beyonce isn't a bad thing is it? Hopefully I will be as big as Beyonce."

Before she can enjoy global success, Tamera needs to conquer the 'X Factor' and is confident of her chances of winning.

Asked if she thinks she can win, she said: "I hope so. You don't enter a competition if you don't want to win."

On the final of the show, the contestants perform a duet with a famous singer and Tamera would love to sing with Beyonce - though she admits like 2008 winner Alexandra Burke, who also performed with the 'Crazy in Love' star, she would struggle not to be overwhelmed.

She added to heat magazine: "[Duetting with Beyonce] would be amazing. I would be like Alexandra Burke - crying."
