TVLine are reporting that The CW is casting for the major recurring role of Wendy, a "spunky, fun and funny" new romantic interest for lead character Barry Allen.
Described as bright and scientific-minded, the casting call reads more specifically, "Think 'Felicity Smoak' from Arrow'".
It's also been revealed that a fresh crimefighter is being scouted for the second season, with the character in his mid-30s to 40s, a "classically handsome, square-jawed hero", identifying the character by the name John Clark.
As a season long role, the casting suggests that John Clark could be an important part to the new episodes.
Some fans may see the name as unfamiliar, but John Clark is the longtime letterer for DC Comics who's worked on Infinity Inc. and All-Star Squadron. This, coupled with the glimpse of Jay Garrick's helmet in the season one finale could suggest John Clark is a character from Earth 2.
