AMC have this week released 11 new character posters for the upcoming seventh season of The Walking Dead ahead of San Diego Comic-Con, teasing Rick and his group of friends, and the controversial cliffhanger ending that we were all left on at the end of season 6.

Executive Producer Greg Nicotero has confirmed in an interview with EW that the victim will be revealed in the first episode of the new season, but clues and hints remain sparce.
Exactly who is at the receiving end of the deadly Lucille is still up in the air, but a statement said by Negan at the end of season six may eliminate both Carl and his father Rick Grimes from the picture.
Negan said after picking his victim: "Anybody moves, anybody says anything, cut the boy's other eye out and feed it to his father."
With the victim predictably having their head bashed in, surely this means that Carl and his one remaining good eye, and Rick and his mouth are safe? We shall see. For now, look at the brilliant posters below:
