The BBC has now confirmed filming on the show's final chapter, six-part series 'Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light' - based on the final novel in Hilary Mantel’s multi award-winning trilogy - is underway, and it will feature the 'Succession' actress, and 'Harry Potter' stars Timothy and Harry Melling.

Harriet will portray Lady Margaret Pole, with Timothy appearing as the Duke of Norfolk and Harry will star as Thomas Wriothesley.

Mark Rylance will reprise his BAFTA-winning role of Thomas Cromwell, and Damian Lewis will be back as King Henry VIII, alongside Jonathan Pryce as Cardinal Wolsey.

Kate Phillips will also reprise her role as Henry VIII’s third wife Jane Seymour, and Lilit Lesser is returning as Princess Mary, the daughter of Henry and his first wife Catherine of Aragon.

Director Peter Kosminsky said: "Casting Director Robert Sterne has done a truly extraordinary job assembling the most stunning cast with which I've ever had the privilege to work.

"Led by Mark Rylance and Damian Lewis, they’ve been drawn by the quality of Hilary Mantel's writing and Peter Straughan's adroit adaptation.

"Shooting in Tudor locations all over England and Wales, it is our privilege to bring Hilary's last novel to an international television audience."

Thomas Brodie-Sangster will also be reprising his role as Rafe Sadler, while Joss Porter (Richard Cromwell), James Larkin (Master Treasurer Fitzwilliam), Richard Dillane (Duke of Suffolk), Will Keen (Archbishop Cranmer), and Hannah Steele (Mary Shelton) will also return to the series.

The returning act will be set in May 1536 when Anne Boleyn, Henry’s second wife, is executed.

Peter added: "'The Mirror and the Light' picks up exactly where 'Wolf Hall' ended, with the execution of Henry VIII's second wife, Anne Boleyn.

"I'm overjoyed to be able to reunite the extraordinary cast we were lucky enough to assemble for 'Wolf Hall', led by the brilliant Mark Rylance and Damian Lewis, with the original creative team of Gavin Finney (DOP), Pat Campbell (Designer) and Joanna Eatwell (Costume Designer).

"We are all determined to complete what we started - and to honour the final novel written by one of the greatest literary figures of our age, Hilary Mantel."
