Sinitta has revealed she "instigated" Sharon Osbourne's 'X Factor' return.

The 'So Macho' singer - the former girlfriend of 'X Factor' boss Simon Cowell, who she has been close to ever since he managed her 80s pop career - claims she was behind the £1.8 million deal that saw the former judge return to the ITV talent show.

Speaking to Yahoo! omg!, she said: "I'm very happy to say that I was the instigator of [Sharon Osbourne's return].

"I had a dinner party a few months ago after we were filming Comic Relief. And I got Sharon and Simon Cowell and Louis to come to the Arts Club.

"They ended up having such a great time that the deal was done that night."

Sharon and fellow panellist Louis Walsh had great on-screen chemistry during her original stint as an 'X Factor' judge from 2004 to 2007, and Sinitta said normal service has been resumed between the pair.

She said: "Louis' having the time of his life because he's got Mrs O back."

Sharon sparked rumours that she would be replacing N-Dubz star Tulisa when she was pictured leaving the Arts Club in London's Mayfair with Simon and Louis in February, and it was later confirmed in May that she would be heading back to the show.
