Adam Rayner stars in the show, whilst viewers will get to continue in following the story of the once unassuming American man drawn into the inner workings and chaos of a turbulent Middle Eastern nation. That man is Bassam 'Barry' Al-Fayeed (Rayner), the youngest son of a controversial dictator, now deceased, of a war-torn country.

Returning to his homeland after 20 years in America of self-imposed exile, Barry will be reunited with his temperamental brother Jamal (Ashraf Barhom), Abuddin's new president. Assuming the role of confidante and counsellor to his sibling, a plot to overthrow him and take to the presidency himself was foiled back in the first season, putting not just him but his entire family in danger.
