The BBC will pay out over £800,000 for the celebrity dancers on this year's 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 15 showbiz stars taking part in the Latin and Ballroom show will each be handed a lump sum of £25,000 when the competition kicks off next month, regardless of how famous they are, but the competitors still left on the dance floor at the end of October will see their payment rise to £40,000.
However, the celebrities that make it to the quarter finals will be handed a staggering £60,000 for their efforts, before the fees jump to a hefty sum of £75,000 for those left standing at the end.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "All of the celebrities get the same standard fee on Strictly.
"Strictly is pretty much a full-time job from the beginning of September to Christmas for those who stay until the end.
"It is very different to sitting around a house or eating bugs in the jungle.
"A lot of the contestants put in eight-hour days every day to practise their routines.
"It often means they have to give up other work they might have taken on to put their all into the show.
"Strictly is also seen as a prestigious show to be on, so it's not all about the money."
Abbey Clancy, Sophie Ellis-Bexter and Hairy Bikers cook Dave Myers have already been snapped up by bosses to appear on this year's show, while Vanessa Phelps has expressed her desire be given a slot as she believes it will help her shed a few pounds.
