The Wanted star wants to pay tribute to his bandmate - who passed away after losing his battle with a brain tumour last year aged 33, leaving behind his daughter Aurelia, three, son Bodhi, two, and widow Kesley, 32 - with his time in the rink, alongside his professional partner Klabera Komini on the ITV1 show.

The 34-year-old pop star captioned a video posted on Instagram: "Full day of skating – working hard on this beautiful number we have in store for you guys this weekend.

“This week is a personal week and we are skating to ‘Gold Forever’ - Tom’s version.”

Siva - who was in the band along with Tom, Nathan Sykes, Max George and Jay McGuiness - also displayed an image of a lit candle baring a sticker for Brain Tumour Research, and he wrote: “#ShineALight on brain tumour awareness month for Tom and everyone effected by Brain Cancer.

“Please follow and support the @braintumourrsch and let’s keep the conversation going”

During his debut on the ice skating competition - which is judged by Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill, and is hosted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield - Siva tearfully shared how Tom’s “courage” spurred him on.

He said: “When I think of the past, I just think about Tom.

“Last year Tom passed away ... I guess I’m still grieving

“I witnessed his courage when he was fighting with his illness and it was so inspiring.”
