Ashley Banjo and Diversity

Ashley Banjo has been teaching Davina McCall how to twerk.

The Diversity star has been helping the 'Got To Dance' host to master modern dance moves and revealed she is a particular fan of the bottom-wiggling routine popularised by Miley Cyrus.

He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Every single time I see Davina she'll film me doing a dance move or ask me to teach her something so she can go home and show her son. She's brilliant, she's just so up for a laugh!

"She wants to learn how to twerk, all different kind of things. She's a really good dancer actually."

The street dance pro - who shot to fame after winning 'Britain's Got Talent' in 2009 with family-centric dance troupe Diversity - is soon going to be reunited with Kimberly Wyatt and Adam Garcia for series five of 'Got To Dance' and he hopes Davina's newfound skills will make an appearance.

He joked: "We could have Davina and the judges twerking!"

A new twist has been introduced to the Sky One show this year which will see the judges each mentoring their own team of six dance acts.

Shrugging off comparisons to 'The X Factor' and 'The Voice' formats, Ashley explained that the mentor system is actually much more suited to a dance show.

He said: "I think with dancing, it's different to 'The Voice' and 'The X Factor' because you're directly involved in the creation of something physical. When a singer sings, if they're in tune you can have a say on the style and song choice, but with dancing you're getting into every move, it's so much more involved.

"It's going to create a completely different type of show where we are going to become one with our acts... Every act that comes on is amazingly talented, there's no gimmicks."
