The McFly drummer - who scooped the glitterball trophy in 2011 - is one of a number of past contestants returning for this year's Christmas special and he's concerned about how he'll fare as his skills are very "rusty" because he's barely danced since winning the show.

He said: "I've only danced a handful of times since 'strictly'.

"It's hard to keep up the practice. After the show finished, I Felt sure I was going to join a salsa class but I got so busy with work.

"Now I'm a bit nervous about how rusty I might be."

Harry's dance partner Aliona Vilani is teamed with Jay McGuiness this year, and their closeness has fuelled rumours her marriage could fall victim to the show's "curse", but the 29-year-old star - who married Izzy Johnston in 2012 - is unsure it exists and thinks the contestants and professionals all just get along well.

Harry said: "People always talk about the 'Strictly' curse, but I managed to get through.

"It's such a happy vibe on the show and everyone gets on really well."

While he is nervous about returning to the show, Harry has no such fears about becoming a father in January.

He told Closer magazine: "Maybe I should be nervous about becoming a dad but I'm just real excited."
