To celebrate Dougie’s birthday a cheery treat in the shape of Peter Andre arrived in the jungle to spend the day with the celebrities.
Five songs were played into camp and they had to guess the title or the artist – they all danced away to Summer Loving, Cotton Eye Joe, Vogue, Do The Twist and finally Mysterious Girl, which saw Willie and Fatima bump and grinding.
Fatima said: “I love Peter Andre, he is a sweet, kind hearted man, please add Peter to our package.”
Crissy added: “I’ve met him three times, I think he’s stalking me. Is he the treat?”
Two rangers brought in a big metal box marked “treat” wrapped in red ribbon and when they opened it Peter jumped out and big hugs were given all round.

“Oh my god, Peter Andre!” Squealed Fatima.
“He’s the one person I would most like to be in the jungle with. If he’s staying overnight he can share my bed!”
Crissy too was excited: “I’ve died and gone to heaven, I don’t mind if I’m chucked off tomorrow now. He can swing in my hammock anytime!”.
As Peter surveyed the camp, he pointed to where Katie’s hammock was and where he used to lie. “I’m really touched; being here was the best experience of my life. Thank you so much for letting me revisit this, it was something I really had to do, I couldn’t understand why.
“I met someone who I first time got engaged, first time ever I got married, got a girl pregnant, had children and it all came from meeting someone here, now that to me is pretty amazing.”
With everyone fascinated to know how Peter had fallen for Katie, the TV star explained: “It’s a lot more intense in this place, you are more sensitive. I went over to the bed at night to talk to her and I’m thinking, no-one can see anything as I’d not seen the show before. She’s been joking that I had an acorn and for a guy that was pretty hard to take, and she was wrong of course. I started talking to her, slightly intimate, and we connected. As I was walking back to my hammock something was incredibly visible, that was the night that I thought I really like this girl.
“At first I thought she was playing me about. I thought I would never flirt in the jungle. My brother Michael told me that whatever I did, I was not to sing or flirt and what did I do? I did both of them of course. When I saw her she looked like Bo Derek, no make-up, hair braided. You don’t want to show feelings but you can’t help it. We had a bit of banter then she started hinting there might be more between us. It was devastating her leaving and then I heard her shout from the bridge, Pete, Pete, I love you.
“So Mark if you have any feelings for Emily don’t hide them because I have the best children in the world.”
Fatima and Crissy were completely smitten by Peter and when the singer gave Fats his watch bangle she kissed it. He gave her a hug, told her she was an awesome person and she kissed his bicep.
The Leeches Suck
The camp was united by song when the celebrities were challenged to write a song using inspiration from Peter Andre’s composition Insania.
Counting himself out, Peter said: “I’ve already sung once here, I aint going to do it again. There are some things I regret in my life and that was one of them.”
Dougie had hoped they would write together. “Finally the stars have aligned and McFly are collaborating with Peter Andre!” He said the band was called The Leeches Suck because they did too.
The song went: “Here in the jungle in our final days, smiles as big as Andre’s, Strumming guitar our Dougie plays, awesome in so many ways, Not forgetting Fatima who is always moaning for tea, The Prince and Princess locked in a cell, we’re ready for home you can tell, Left in the jungle.”
After an enthusiastic performance, Dougie smashed up the guitar in a very rock and roll way. “I couldn’t have written that song my myself as it would have been a song all about boobs and food!”
