Simon’s girlfriend Layla sent a video message which went: ‘Hey Simon, it’s Layla here, I just wanted to say I’m so proud of you, everybody at home thinks you are doing really well, you are nearly there now, you’ve got to hang on in there. I can’t wait to see you, love you.’
David commented on what a babe she is. ‘What are you doing in here, I can’t believe it. You better watch out when we get out.’
Simon answered: ‘Hands off mate.’
With tears running down his face David watched his daughter’s message. They said: ‘Hi Daddy, we’re so incredibly proud of you, we miss you so much and we’re really proud of you, everyone’s being so supportive, we know you can do it, we love you so much. Everyone at home is supporting. We miss you so much and we want you home.’
The celebrities commented on how pretty the girls were and how they looked like David.
Joe’s mum cried as she left her message: ‘Hello my lovely boy, I’m here and we’re watching. You’ve been funny and you’ve been true to yourself. You’re my baby and I’ve really missed you and I’m glad it’s only a couple of days so hang in there and we can’t wait to get you out and feed you up.
I love you ginger ninja, you look great. Kara sends her all love she misses you so much. I’ve lost my voice from screaming and shouting at the telly.’
‘That was the nicest thing having that message,’ said Joe who also had tears in his eyes.
