Bosses of the MTV reality TV show are reportedly "desperate" to get the former 'Celebrity Big Brother' hunk to agree to join the next series of the flirty programme as they believe his wild partying and boisterous behaviour will prove popular with viewers.

A source told The Daily Star Online: "MTV were desperate to get Jeremy on board. His party boy ways and social media rants made him top priority."

But the 26-year-old heavily inked heartthrob wasn't producers' first choice as they initially wanted to secure his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis for the series but were forced to re-evaluate their choice after it was announced the actress was pregnant with Jeremy's baby.

The insider explained: "Obviously they wanted Stephanie Davis at first but now she's pregnant there's no chance."

However, if Jeremy does agree to join the next series, his decision will unlikely sit well with Stephanie, whom he dumped three months ago following a series of blazing rows, as it's believed he'll be jetting abroad around the same time she's set to give birth to their little bundle of joy.

But even if he does snub the offer to be there for the 23-year-old actress when she goes into labour, Stephanie has already said she won't let the Irish star near their baby until he cleans up his act.

She said recently: "I think Jeremy has made it very, very clear where he stands in this situation. He's completely neglected his own flesh and blood.

"He doesn't want to believe it and I think if Jeremy is ever to be around our baby, he'd have to prove himself to me and to his family that he'll get the help he needs because I'd never put my baby around someone like that."

Stephanie and Jeremy met in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house in January and hit it off straight away but, after months of breaks up and make ups, the reality TV hunk decided to call things off in April.

Their relationship turned toxic and they've been at each other's throats on social media ever since.
