The 27-year-old singer is set to perform at the final of the singing competition this weekend and Che's mentor has claimed he thinks she'll thank the young hopeful for messing it up as no one likes to see their song done better by someone else.

Asked if he's nervous about seeing Adele after forgetting the lyrics to 'Hello' a couple of weeks ago, Che told BANG Showbiz: "No, not at all."

And Nick added: "She'll have a laugh won't she? She'll probably like it. You don't want someone to do your song better. She'll probably be like, 'Nice one!"

Che confessed he was terrified he was going to be voted off the show after messing up the song.

Speaking about the moment he heard he was through to the next round, he explained: "That was the most relieved I've ever been because the whole night I was just thinking about it. It was a horrible moment. The biggest song on the planet and I forget the lyrics."

However, he's not worried about making the same mistake in the final.

He added: "I feel really confident. I performed at Royal Albert Hall the other day and walking out there was unbelievable and I felt fine so I think it's set me up now to go out to Wembley and just do what I do, and I'm just going to have some fun. We're in the final so I think it's important not to think about it too much. That's what I did when I forgot the lyrics. I was nervous, I thought about it too much. Now I'll just relax and chill out."

'The X Factor' final airs Saturday (12.12.15) and Sunday (13.12.15) at 8pm on ITV.
