The 27-year-old presenter - who came fifth on the ninth series of the show in 2012 - is already busy with his own late-night talk show and fronting spin-off 'Big Brother's Bit On the Side' but his friends think he should jump at the chance to take the ITV2 role, which show bosses think he'd be perfect for.

A source said: "Bosses really want to sign Rylan.

"He's a seasoned professional, funny, and could make the show come alive.

"He's got a lot going on with 'Big Brother' and his own show, but his friends think he'd be crazy to turn this down - he'd be an amazing asset to the show."

And Laura Whitmore, who quit 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! NOW!' last month, is reportedly being lined up to co-host with Rylan.

The source added to Now magazine: "[Quitting] was the biggest sign yet that she's up for the job because she could never have done both at once.

"They'd be a brilliant duo and everyone thinks their onscreen chemistry would be great."

However, the pair face competition for the role as it was recently claimed Westlife's Nicky Byrne is in the frame to replace last year's presenters Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom.

A source said: "A number of people are being considered for the position and Nicky is on that list. He has plenty of experience on camera and has a great profile in England which is a real plus ...

"It is all about the chemistry. If they find someone who works with him he has a real chance at landing the gig."
