This year's bunch of X Factor contenders have been told they're not allowed near the windows of their mansions.

Residing in a home together worth £2.8 million in North London during their time in the competition, they've been ordered by show bosses to steer clear of the windows in case they distract fans and cause a road accident.

Producers of the series are worried about the contestant's young admirers who wait outside the mansion hoping to get a glimpse of the contestants, and fear they could run across the road if they spot their favourite stars.

Barclay Beales of eight-piece boyband Stereo Kicks told The Sun newspaper: "We have been told not to go near the windows for the safety of the fans outside.

"Sometimes the house can be mobbed by fans."

This weekend will see the contestants perform some Halloween specials before series judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini gets on-stage to perform her new single on the Sunday night results show.

X Factor choreographer has said he's "thrilled" to be working with Cheryl, crediting her for putting in some hard work and a good attitude and spirit during their rehearsald.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror he explained: "I'm choreographing Cheryl's performance on the show this weekend. It's the first time I have ever worked with her in any capacity outside of being her creative director for X Factor, so I'm thrilled.

"In rehearsals she has been a dream artist to work with. She is a great dancer, she has great spirit and energy and she is a hard worker. It's been a while since she did the show, so it will be amazing to get back into that gear. I can't wait for it to hit the stage."
