Tracy (Kate Ford) paints on her face as she attends Charlie’s funeral with armed guards in tow. A few of his mates are there to give her the evil eye and it’s a peculiar service as Jason (Ryan Thomas) tries to speak about a man he realises he barely knew. As the coffin slides away, Maria (Samia Smith) runs from the crematorium blaming Tracy for his death. David (Jack P Shepherd) follows her and leads her back to the street, clearly besotted, and when she tells him it’s time she moved on, David misreads the signals and leans in for a kiss. How will Maria react? Meanwhile, the Battersbys are missing Chesney (Sam Aston) but Cilla’s (Wendi Peters) armour is back on as she claims she’s glad of the rest.Elsewhere, Steve bites the bullet and asks Michelle (Kym Ryder) out on a date only to find she’s already got something planned with Sonny (Pal Aron).Kelly is (Tupele Dorgu) convinced Liam (Rob James-Collier) will soon be hers but Joanne’s (Zaraah Abrahams) not quite so sure. And Carla is (Alison King) less than impressed when Paul (Sean Gallagher) stands her up on their anniversary in favour of a business meeting.
