Matthew (Matt Healy) sacks his solicitor, handing Gray (Christopher Villiers) the perfect opprtunity to cause more trouble. Posing as Matthew's new brief, Gray enters and intentionally winds Matthew up. Unable to control himself, Matthew lunges at Gray, forcing the police to intervene. When Gray signals his intention to press assault charges, is this curtains for Matthew?Elsewhere, Carrie (Linda Lusardi) tells Scarlett (Kelsey-Beth Crossley) they will celebrate her 16th birthday with a meal out, despite Scarlett's protests that she wants a party. Carrie states in no uncertain terms that a party is out of the question. But does loose cannon Lexi (Sally Oliver) have other ideas?At the café, auditions for Belle's (Eden Taylor-Draper) Christmas play are in full swing. When the thespian dust has settled, the villagers are delighted when Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and Rodney (Patrick Mower) are selected as the ugly sisters, Donna (Verity Rushworth) as buttons), Jamie (Alex Carter) as Prince Charming and Scarlett plays the footman. Belle assigns herself the lead as Cinderbella and, desperate to join the fun, Val (Charlie Hardwick) agrees to provide costumes for the performance if she can don her best black gown as the wicked stepmother. With the cast desperate to give a rousing performance, will it be a case of encore or boo hiss?
