With the police turning up, Alicia's concerned about the direction the interview takes, and when the Home Farm clan are spotted by David heading to the pub it's not long before accusations are flying out across the village in full-view of fellow residents. Jimmy could regret his actions when he asks Lawrence to send Nicola to Dubai in his place, and Belle's visited at the mental-health unit by Zak and Lisa, with their hopes of a speedy recovering put immediately into perspective. Val's attitude following a coughing fit leaves Finn worried - could she be in bad health?

News of the incident surrounding Lachlan and Alicia spreads throughout the village, and steeling herself to tell Jacob, Alicia goes on to head out to her pub shift, determined not to be hidden away. A comment from Georgia leaves Leyla infuriated and she lashes out, hitting her before David arrives with the police. Concerns for Val grow as her coughing fits continue, and Rachel turns up with an idea at the Dingles' home, keen to pry Tracy away from Sam.

DC Bright reveals that the case is being dropped leaving Chrissie outraged, and an admission from Alicia shocks Leyla and David. Val suffers breathing difficulties, and when she's found collapsed on the floor, Emma and Finn panic. Doug finds Laurel's stash of vodka and insists he needs an honest chat with his daughter, whilst Pearl's money troubles leave her unable to resist the urge to gamble.

Eric's alarmed at the hospital when Val's condition deteriorates, and as the medics rush in he and Finn are taken out of the room. Her son Paul arrives shortly after and with everybody prepared for the worst, can Val make it out alive? Meanwhile, Alicia's afraid to leave the house because of what others may think of her, whilst Marlon struggles with money issues and Sam asks Kerry to let Tracy stay for a further week.

In the second of the night's double episode, Eric's asked about resuscitation as Val remains unresponsive, but insists the situation will not get too bad. Breaking down in tears he begs his wife to wake up - will she pull through? Elsewhere, Alicia arranged another shift at the Woolpack, Pearl faces a moral test when handed a signed blank cheque by Rhona and Paddy at the surgery, and Andy's visit doesn't go to plan, whilst Kerry and Tracy's feud boils on.

A drunken Andy's invited back to Bernice's house, but when he persists in trying to kiss her he gains a slap to the face for his efforts. Despite this he's undeterred and then sets his sights on Tracy - will she succumb to his drunken charm? Ashley suggests a new job for Laurel in a bid to lift her mood, and Alicia continues to hide her worries from David, whilst Pearl continues gambling and Kerry asserts her authority in her home.
