Ask a silly question, "Hey, Granddad, what's it like in prison?" Well, Ric, it's great fun. As long as you like stitching mailbags and being leered at in the shower by blokes called things like Big Jerome. Let's face it, mate, your only chance of walking free is if Alf gets the prison blueprints tattooed across his body and breaks you out of there. As the trial begins, the prosecutor calls on Constable Fitzgerald to present evidence about Ric's DNA being found on Rocco's body. But after a little coaxing from Morag, Fitzgerald confirms that this may have been a result of Ric's altercation with Rocco the day before his hospitalisation. Ric shoots Matilda a smile; so far, so good. However, things take a turn for the worst when the prosecution calls in their next witness! Everyone rhubarbs among themselves as Johnny - yep, Rocco's brother Johnny - walks through the door and leaps onto the witness stand. He proceeds to paint a nasty picture of Ric, stating how menacing he was on the night he visited him in jail. Unable to hold back any longer, Ric lets rip. "You murdered your own brother. And now you're pinning it on me!" The courtroom erupts, and Johnny is dragged out. But from Morag's eye-rolling we can tell that this hasn't helped Ric's case one bit. Two's company, Kit's coming out of hospital today. "Don't think I won't check on you", Rachel smiles, as her eyes remain cold. It makes us wonder if "check on you" is new Aussie slang for "get you in your sleep". You see, tensions are still brewing between Kim and Rachel following Kim's allegations that his wife was the cause of Kit's prolonged stay in hospital. However, Kit is alarmed to hear that Kim feels this way and manages to convince him that Rachel is not at fault. That evening, Kim suggests a romantic dinner together; one that Kit will definitely not be invited to.

Rachel reminds him that tirami su won't make their problems go away, but she's nevertheless pleased that he's making the effort. Over dinner, Kim apologises again and promises to work on being more communicative. Rachel is relieved to hear this, and the couple kiss as they reaffirm their love for one another. We're sure it'll all go to pot again next week, though.

Court on camera, After a short break, court is back in session - and everyone is aghast when Matilda is called as a witness. Morag strongly objects, but it's to little use.

The prosecution lawyer turns out to be the biggest bitch in a wig since Debbie Harry in Hairspray, and soon makes Mattie crumble under the pressure.

"He said he was going to kill him", she admits, as Sally starts looking for cake recipes big enough to bake a file into.

Morag really has her work cut out when it comes to quelling the image of Ric being the violently aggressive man the prosecution are portraying him to be.

And all her efforts are unravelled when the fact that Ric was responsible for his father's death is pegged onto the courtroom's washing line for the jury to take a sniff at.

Although Morag does her best to mend fences during her closing statement, the nails have well and truly been hammered into the coffin - and Ric is promptly found guilty of murder. He's following in his grandfather's footsteps, but in this case it's nothing to be proud of...
