Kitty’s so shocked after overhearing Kelli gleefully unveil her evil plan to Ethan, she dives for the door – bashing over a vase in the process. Kelli rushes in, panicked; did Kitty hear her conversation? Kitty assures the bad daughter she’s only just walked in, grappling for the blood pressure pills she’s spilt all over the carpet. Kitty’s hunched with worry when she meets Amanda and Peter later on, all hyper from the wedding planner’s visit and chirping about family. “I think I’ve really got my sister back,” Mandy beams, to Kitty’s distress. It’s too much. Kitty warns her dizzy-eyed daughter a stripper’s the last thing she should be worrying about, and goes back to the house and confronts Kelli. “I know you’re planning to ruin Amanda’s wedding and I’m not going to let it happen.”Goodbye KittyKitty pleads with Kelli to abandon her ruinous plans and let go of her rage towards Amanda. It’s clearly not something our Kel’s capable of. “Amanda ruined my life. She has to pay for that.” Revenge has no off button. Kitty gives Kelli two hours to change her mind, or she’s telling Mandy everything. Kelli decides to see what her mum’s really made of, and offers her £80 000 to keep her mouth shut. Kitty stands firm, but she’s already playing with fire. Kelli gets hold of her mum’s blood pressure pills and spikes her wine that night, causing her to go all woozy. While Amanda’s out of earshot, Kelli makes it clear that she’s prepared to kill to get what she wants. Well, self-sacrifice was never Kitty’s strong point; she takes the money and scarpers.Under the influenceOver at Summer Bay house, Sal and Cassie are starting to miss Martha’s tantrums. Her head’s all full of Cam now – she barely even says hello when she comes to collect the last of her stuff. Alf’s finally got wind of Martha’s move, and phones her to request four weeks’ rent. She hasn’t got that kind of money. Of course, Cam steps in, offering her an advance on her wages. “You always know how to look after me,” Martha simpers. She’s truly under his spell. Later that night, Martha turns up for her shift at the Rocket to find everyone in low spirits. Tonight’s dancer has cancelled at the last minute; if Cam doesn’t find a replacement, the club won’t open and all the girls will lose their wages. It’s clear who’s expected to step in – Martha. Martha declines – she’s not that kind of girl. But Cam gets snappy and admits he’s disappointed in her, considering how supportive he’s been of her lately.

Martha agrees to help him, eyeballing the pole nervously. She downs the drink Cam hands her, wriggles into her skimpy outfit and braces herself, while Cam cackles to himself in the crowd. Cindy leans in to congratulate him – she can’t believe Martha fell for the story. “That girl’s going to make me a fortune…” Cam titters.
