Everyone’s totally worried about Peter. He’s been moping around after his shocker of a wedding, but he’s just not dealing with it. He’s not talking to anyone about it, and he’s not making Mandy suffer enough. Even little Ryan, who’s supposed to be going to her house today, doesn’t want to see the Mand. Dan reminds him Mandy is still his mum, and it’s up to her. Amanda’s eagerly awaiting her son’s arrival. She’s decided to pull herself together for his sake. She even hugs Kelli and thanks her for everything she’s done. Pah. But as soon as he arrives at Mandy’s house, Ryan demands to be taken to his friend Tommy’s house. The little brat. “Even my own son hates me!” Mandy wails. And, well, it’s true. Oil paintingBelle’s quick to defend her mum when Colleen starts parping on about her being immoral, and a fight ensues; luckily, Irene arrives home in time to break it up. Belle’s pleased to see the ’Rene. She fills her in, moaning that she doesn’t even know what’s going on with Drew now. When Drew lays into Belle for being loyal to her mum, Belle points out that it’s a bit rich for him to judge.

“It’s not like you’ve never cheated on anyone before.” Touché. Later that day, Belle bumps into Ethan while she’s chucking out the fryer oil at the Diner.

“Must have been a storm, look at the scum that’s washed in,” she hisses. Ethan points out nastily that she’ll probably turn out just like her mum and asks for her phone number. To his astonishment, Belle chucks the vat of scummy oil at him. Drew sees it all, and the two exchange cheeky grins.

Smash hits

Sick of his dad stealing his clothes, Drew suggests Peter go and fetch his stuff from Amanda’s house. He might as well rub Mandy’s face in it while he’s at it.

A listless Mand brightens momentarily when she sees Peter at the door, but it’s clear he’s not here to make up. Mandy ends up on her knees, wailing and clinging onto Peter’s trouser leg, to absolutely no avail.

“As far as I’m concerned, Amanda, you do not exist to me anymore,” Peter barks as he departs. Kelli spends the evening listening to her drunken sister bemoaning her fate.

She never knew what love was till she met Peter; this is karma for all the men she abused in the past. She’s interrupted by the phone ringing.

It’s Ryan, and he’s upset; the kids at the party are teasing him for having a trampy mum. Amanda wants to see him straight away. She grabs her car keys and staggers to the door, brushing off Kelli’s lame attempts to stop her.

As she’s hurtling down the road, she’s blinded by an oncoming car’s headlights. She spins out of control and crashes into a ditch. Peter emerges from the other car and panics when he sees Amanda’s lifeless body slumped over the steering wheel. Oops!
