The famous four feel Brad’s wrath as they slip into their marigolds and get stuck into their lunchtime detention, scrubbing down the school hallways. Sick of Jules’ moaning, Belle points out that it’s all his fault - “You can’t stand the fact that I pulled you up about liking Cassie.” Jules retorts that the only two people in the room who are hot for each other are Belle and Drew. Cass screams at them all to shut up. When Brad catches them squabbling, he splits the group into two controversial halves. While scrubbing desks, Belle and Drew discuss Jules. Drew admits the only thing he’s cross with Jules about is interrupting him when he was about to pash Belle on the beach. Their heads loom dangerously close together, but Jules does it again; his and Cassie’s screams ring out and a full on water fight ensues. It ends in tears, though, when Cassie slips and twists her ankle. All of a sudden, Jules is all sweetness and light, insisting Cassie sits down while he finishes the hallway. Cassie is mystified.

“Either you’ve got a split personality, or Belle’s right,” she remarks.

Jules is uncharacteristically tongue-tied, but denies fancying her. Something’s changed, though.

Star crossed Hugh staggers home after yet another nightshift. “Anyone would think you’re avoiding us!” Kim jokes, but he’s spot on. Hugh’s feelings for Rachel are properly doing his head in. While he gets some kip, Rachel and Kim head to the beach with Archie, who they’re babysitting while Kit spends the day getting sensual at a spa. Rachel’s delighted to be spending the day en famille, but Kim gets called away on urgent gym business. Rachel takes Archie home, where the smell of fresh baby poo seems to relax Hugh for a while. When poor, frustrated Hugh finally tries to bring his feelings for her out into the open, Rachel panics and shuts the conversation down. The truth is, she knows deep down how he feels, but can’t talk about it; she’s scared of her own growing feelings for him. Instead, she babbles about their friendship. “You’re my best friend in the world and that’s how I want it to stay. Always.” Hugh grins unhappily. Meanwhile down the road, Mattie catches Kit sobbing her heart out. She’s traumatised by the vision of topless Kim she saw that afternoon when Archie sicked on him. She couldn’t take her eyes off his rippling torso. After some prodding, she gasps, “I think I’m falling in love with Kim again and I can’t help it!”
