Drew might have agreed to move in with his mum, but he's avoiding her by spending his every waking hour with Belle – a fact Jazz can't have failed to notice, given her latest ploy to win him over. Having told Drew that Belle can stay over whenever she likes, Jazz even manages to convince a rightly sceptical Irene that the pair will, of course, be in separate rooms (we're not quite sure how Irene fell for that one) – although, given that no sooner than Belle has arrived Jazz has already undone her good deed, it doesn't really look like the logistics of who sleeps where are going to be a problem. Because, truth be told, Jazz's open attitude towards relationships is one she's keen to push onto her son: "Any of Drew's girlfriends can stay here," she says casually, in response to Belle's thanks for letting her stay over. It's enough to send Belle packing, leaving Drew wondering aloud what went wrong and Jazz oblivious to the fact that hers aren't necessarily morals shared by the entire female population of Summer Bay.Poetic licenceMeanwhile, Lucas's apparent obsession with Naomi is scaling new heights, as the collection of pictures and newspaper cuttings he's managed to build up shows only too clearly. It's only when Belle asks Tony if everything's okay that alarm bells start to sound: "I just haven't seen him around all week. Either he's stressing over trials next week, or he's got some hot new babe I don't know about." Labelling his antics as in any way related to the latter would, of course, be stretching the truth, seeing as it looks like he's been sleeping outside Naomi's house virtually every night.

Needless to say, it's only a matter of time before he's caught in the act – and when Naomi does find him, she at least show some mercy by calling Jack to the scene.

"Yeah, well, you don't need to worry. I've almost finished now anyway," Lucas later tells him, clearly oblivious to how creepy he sounds. But before you start worrying about just how corrupted young Lucas has become, he's actually referring to the story he's been writing.

When Naomi finds out about his latest writing venture, she's only too eager to check that it's not some "half-baked tell all" about their relationship – otherwise, she'd be perfectly happy to take out an AVO on him.

Fortunately for Luc, she agrees that his "research" into her daily routine has been put to good use in his story and is impressed that he's followed her advice by channelling his feelings into his work.

"Now I’ve had my say and I want to move on," Lucas says, before the pair say their goodbyes. And he starts with a "symbolic" burning of his latest material – symbolic because, as Annie's quick to remind him, he's got a copy saved on his PC. Honestly, these writer types...

Over the limit

With Lucas's latest drama, it seems only fitting that rival Geoff should have an equally difficult problem to deal with – and a problem he has. You see, Geoff's fellow football team members still aren't exactly warming to him; in fact, they're trying everything they can to get rid of him.

Allowing him to come painfully close to crushing himself on a bench press (yes, really) during their gym training session is just the latest in a long line of their scare tactics, and it hasn't escaped Tony's attention.

"Mate, we seem to have another problem here," he observes, also recounting the numerous occasions on which Geoff seems to have been cut out of passes on the pitch. "Maybe if you just tried to get involved and be part of the team...?" he offers.

Of course, it doesn't seem likely seeing as Geoff is having a hard time breaking out of old habits; his face-offs with Lucas having taught him nothing, he's already ratted out the entire team by exposing their die-hard partying as the reason behind their lagging stamina, and they're not about to forget it in a hurry.

So when poor Geoff later tries to join their game of pool, they're reluctant to agree – until they spot an opportunity to be had. While Geoff's busy lining up shots, they're spiking his drink with alcohol – and, despite his misgivings, it's not long before soon Geoff's cries of "I don't believe in drinking" are forgotten as he kicks back and joins the fun.

But it's fun at his expense. They ply him with enough alcohol to make him pass out, before carrying him out to Tony's car and locking him in the boot. Little do they know that Geoff has drunk enough to give himself blood alcohol poisoning...
