Elle panics when Oliver’s father, Richard, reveals he saw Elle with Rebecca, and demands to know what Elle is playing at. Elle fights back, arguing she knows the wrong he did to Rebecca, but Richard is appalled by the accusation. Realising Richard won’t rest until he reconnects with his former wife and estranged son, Elle tells Oliver and Rebecca what she’s done. Feeling betrayed, Oliver’s angry, and looks set to end the relationship. But when he finds his frightened mother in the process of framing his father for a crime he didn’t commit, Oliver begins to wonder if Elle was right to doubt his mother. Adam confides to Pepper his continuing angst about the death of his police partner back in the UK. Pepper suggests he needs counseling before he takes the step of applying to join the Australian police, but Adam firmly disagrees. Adam goes to the police station to apply, and finds himself saving his interviewer from a nasty criminal. Afterwards, he’s privately shaken by the encounter, but when he’s told he must have a psych assessment to join up, he’s grimly determined to prove to everyone he’s absolutely fine. Tim Collins accuses Stonie of stealing an expensive pen, and Toadie immediately defends his brother. But when Toadie later reveals doubts about his brother’s innocence, Stonie’s gutted. When the pen turns up, Tim apologises. But when Stonie demands Toadie apologise with a boys’ night out, Toadie’s unwilling. Only when Steph reminds him how much Stonie needs a confidante does Toadie agree to do it.Karl and Susan finally convince Zeke to visit Tom at his new nursing home. Expecting the worst, Zeke is pleasantly surprised to see Tom in his element – in more ways than one!
