Following Paul’s flashback, he’s fearful - if he’s killed before, is he capable of killing Richard? Partly to escape the tension caused by Richard and partly to escape his dark side, Paul takes Rebecca and Declan for a weekend in the country. Whilst there Paul and Rebecca declare their love for one another. Toadie and Rosie meanwhile struggle to build a civil case against Richard. They contact all of Richard’s former female colleagues on the off chance he may have intimidated another woman. A woman finally does step forward and it seems Richard may be about to receive his long overdue punishment. Rebecca meanwhile, is confronted, alone in the bush by Richard. With her feelings for Paul declared she now has so much to lose, but everything to gain by removing Richard from her life. Terrified Rebecca threatens Richard with physical harm - she’s on the brink of taking the law into her own hands. Carmella admits to Pepper that she’s dangerously living a fantasy where Ollie’s concerned: picture perfect young happy couple; pregnant wife; house hunting. Carmella knows she has to snap out of this unrealistic expectation but Pepper reassures her friend – maybe all is not lost? Ollie’s a young man and young men sometimes do silly things – perhaps Elle was just one of those “silly things”? Carmella’s given hope and allows herself to get swept away but it soon becomes apparent that Ollie’s heart is not heading in the same direction. When he intimates that there may still be a chance for himself and Elle, Carmella quickly distances herself. She insists that she’ll buy her own house after all.
