When Harold confesses to Rebecca that he once gave into his own violent urges, shocked Rebecca is given a new perspective on love and forgiveness. Rebecca returns to Paul who is alone and in pain and wordlessly offers him her support again.Pepper’s dinner party starts well but then the wheels come off! Frazer and Rosie are weird with each other, Oliver and Riley get jealous over Elle, and Sophie infuriates Pepper when she and Adam “talk shop”. Pepper’s insecurities peak when she thinks Sophie is flirting with Adam, and Rosie’s private hurt becomes apparent to all. Fuelled by one too many wines Pepper is mean to Sophie and Adam is furious. Rosie and Frazer resolve their tension with honesty and affection, but the baby issue remains at an impasse. Pepper confides to Rosie that her inability to be intimate with Adam has made her realise that if she’s unable to express her love physically, then she feels unable to express her love for a man at all. Pepper’s devastated at what this says about her. Brad’s article about an ‘anonymous’ man having confessed to Gus’s murder without being charged shocks Ramsay Street – and outrages Elle. Brad reasons that the article will quickly blow over but his attempts to assuage Elle’s anger come to nought. With Riley’s help she persuades Brad to publish a follow up story which pours cold water on his first article. He’s impressed and suggests Elle consider a career change to journalism. Rachel supports Bridget’s desire to stay a tomboy, but thinks a makeover might be a bit of fun. Bridget looks great but Riley’s look of surprise is misread by his over-sensitive sister as horror. Desperately needing the chance to assert herself and feel in control, Bridget takes up Declan reckless offer of a joyride - but only if she gets to drive!
