Danny Dyer is set to sign a brand new contract with EastEnders which will see him in the soap for at least another three years.

The contract for the actor who plays Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter is estimated to be worth around £400,000.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins said: "We're in negotiations with Danny. He and I are very happy. He's lovely - clever, warm and loyal. We've got a bit of a bromance."

Danny was this week named Best Actor at the Inside Soap Awards, and his on-screen family took home the gong for Best Family at the event.

Speaking at the show, he said: "I've done 155 episodes now, I'm shattered, but a good shattered. It could have been a car crash and I think there were a lot of people who were hoping that it would be."
