The 31-year-old actress, who played Candice Stowe in the ITV soap from 1999 to 2005, has confessed if she were to be written out of her current role as Maxine Minniver in 'Hollyoaks', she would definitely consider going back.

Speaking at the British Academy Television Awards at London's Theatre Royal, she exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "'Coronation Street' will always have a really special place in my heart but at the moment I am very happy, I love where I work, I love the stories, I love the character, I love everything about it but if I was to be in a position where I wasn't in it anymore, never say never."

The brunette beauty also admitted it's been like a blast from the past to see her former on-screen best friend Tina O'Brien return to the soap as Sarah-Louise Platt.

Nikki shared: "I've seen a couple of episodes with her in and it's fantastic. I mean, I look at it and it's like going back in time, it really is and that's what we've said to each other looking at pictures of the pair of us from when we were children and it's fantastic, she's such a phenomenal actress that she's wasted when she's not performing."
