Producers of the new Thunderbirds Are Go series have released an exclusive image of Tracy Island, to coincide with the Thunderbirds panel at COMIC-CON International 2014.
Fondly remembered by fans for all of its unique features including tilting palm trees and a retractable swimming pool, the island keeps with the original setting and stands tall over the waters of an exotic and mysterious location.
Thunderbirds Are Go will be a reboot produced using a mix of CGI animation and live-action model sets, which producers hope will deliver a new and superior level of action-adventure animation, whilst still staying true and paying tribute to the 1960's classic.
“It‘s great to have the chance to give fans a sneak peak at the home of Thunderbirds. Tracy Island was a much loved feature of the original show, so it felt right that we showcase our new-look location with the show’s followers.” said Executive Producer Giles Ridge.
ITV Studios and Pukeko Pictures are currently in production of the series, debuting on ITV and CITV in 2015.
David Graham will reprise his role as Parker, whilst Rosamund Pike will lend her voice to Lady Penelope. Thomas Brodie Sangster, Kayvan Novak and Rasmus Hardiker will voice the Tracy brothers.
