03:58AM GMT: Seth Rollins cashes in his Money in the Bank briefcase, beating Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar in a Triple Threat match and becoming the WWE World Heavyweight Champion

In the final match of the night and the big main event, Brock Lesnar defends his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns. Though many have claimed he's not ready, Reigns has for the past few weeks proved how determined he is to get the job done and take the title home.

Entering the stadium to boos, Reigns looked in the best shape he's ever been in, and when he hit the ring he couldn't help but let a smile go across his face. This was his moment and he let it all soak in.

As Lesnar walked the ramp to the ring, the crowd cheered and Paul Heyman sauntered alongside him with a smirk on his face. Reigns didn't take his eyes off the champion from the moment he saw him, and when Lesnar jumped onto the apron with fireworks shooting into the sky, it was clear that this match was going to be an exciting one.

Things didn't start slowly, as Lesnar lifted Reigns off his feet into a bear hug, throwing him into the corner and pummeling him before delivering a German Suplex and then landing an F5. Blood poured from Brock's face less than 30 seconds into the match, and Reigns stayed on the floor, exhausted already.

Attempting to get another German Suplex, Reigns fought back with huge blasts, but Lesnar managed to duck out of the way, eventually delivering another German Suplex, much to the delight of Heyman on the outside of the ring.

Despite being beat down, Reigns smiled in the corner of the ring and became the recipient of further punishment.

"Suplex City bitch!" spat Lesnar after delivering the fourth to a dazed Reigns. Landing on the back of his head, it was a feat just for Reigns to get back on his feet and deliver some solid right hands. They were short-lived however with another German Suplex taking Reigns down once more.

Taking his prey over to the ropes, the Beast Lesnar managed to force Reigns out of the ring and to the mat, but when Reigns got back on the apron he managed to turn things around for a short while, before getting caught by Lesnar and being smacked out of the ring once more.

With blood dripping down his torso, Brock was still in the driving seat and taking his time with the match, punishing Reigns and driving him straight back out of the ring with another German Suplex, bringing him back inside with an eigth.

A second F5 saw Lesnar hook Reigns' leg, but the challenger was able to kick out before the referee could get to the three count. Taking off his glovers, Lesnar delivered two huge slaps to Reigns' before throwing him back into another two German Suplexes and hitting a third F5 before going for the pin - another which Reigns kicked out of before the match could be brought to an end.

Lesnar then slung Reigns back out of the ring, attempting to throw his opponent into the ringpost before it was reversed and Lesnar himself was smashed into the post, being cut open and a huge gash seeping blood out all over the outside of the ring.

Now with Reigns given new life, the challenger looked ready to shoot Brock down and did so with a massive Superman Punch, following it up with a second and bringing Lesnar down onto his knees. A third attempted Superman Punch saw Lesnar dodge Reigns, but Reigns picked up momentum, gave headbutts to Lesnar's open wound and then landed a third Superman Punch before hitting a huge spear in the middle of the ring.

Lesnar rushed to the corner of the ring but managed to get back to his feet before succumbing to a second spear. Covering the champion it looked like things were over - but Lesnar managed to kick out just before the three count.

Reigns went for a fourth Superman Punch, but was caught by Lesnar who delivered his fourth vicious F5 to the challenger. Heyman screamed "Cover him!" to Lesnar, but Mr Money In The Bank ran out to the ring and finally cashed in his opportunity at the World Heavyweight Championship, turning the match into a Triple Threat.

Seth Rollins then delivered a Curb Stomp to the champion Brock Lesnar, before checking on Reigns outside of the ring and going for a second Curb Stomp. He was caught by Lesnar, and Reigns then hit the champ with a spear. Unfortunately for Reigns, Rollins managed to hit a Curb Stomp to Reigns and pinned him for the three count, taking home the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the biggest heist the WWE has ever seen.

03:26AM GMT: The Undertaker defeats Bray Wyatt

The Taker returned for his first match in a year after his streak was broken at WrestleMania 30 by Brock Lesnar, going up against Bray Wyatt in a one-on-one match for the record books.

After 12 months out of action, fans were eager to see just what kind of shape the Dead Man would be in for this fight. "He actually looks better than the last time we saw him!" said Jerry Lawler from ringside.

Attempting to charge Taker, Bray gained a huge boot to the face for his efforts with Taker quickly picking up momentum, going old school as he travelled across the top rope and delivered a strong smash to Bray's neck.

"You've still got it!" chanted the crowd, but Wyatt then managed to capitalise on Taker's slow attacks, hitting back and driving the Dead Man out of the ring. Vintage Undertaker however landed on his feet and picked up the pace once more, landing a big kick to Wyatt's head on the apron before setting him up for a leg drop right across his chest.

Setting up for the big boot, Taker was intercepted by Wyatt landing the pair in a heap in the middle of the ring. With Bray hitting some big right hands, Undertaker looked stunned but remained on his feet - a place you don't want the Dead Man to be. A short jab struck Wyatt, but the younger star managed to get some knees to Taker's gut before running and smashing him with his entire body.

Locking in a big submission move in the middle of the ring, Taker managed to battle out of it but was on the end of a blow to the back when he tried to get back to his feet. Both exhausted, Wyatt dragged Taker into the corner of the ring and launched himself into the steps whilst smashing Taker's head into the steel ring post.

Wyatt's right leg at this point seemed to be injured, but it didn't stop him from getting back to his feet and attempting to take Taker down. Here though Taker tried to lock in Hell's Gate, but Wyatt fought out of it quickly before the match could be brought to an end.

Later going for a Sister Abigail, Wyatt was caught by Taker before he could deliver the move and became the recipient of a Chokeslam. Following this up with a Tombstone Piledriver, the end looked inevitable, but Wyatt managed to kick out before the three count, leaving Taker collapsed in a heap, shocked like never before.

With Wyatt still on the ground, Taker got to his feet and called for the Tombstone for a second time. This one however was not to be, with Wyatt switching it up into a Sister Abigail, delivering it perfectly to the Dead Man but not picking up the win as Taker kicked out before the three count.

Both men on the floor, the referee began to count and got to seven before Bray shot up in his crab position, only to be met by the iconic Undertaker's own sit-up position. Getting to their feet, the men exchanged punches in the centre of the ring, and it was Wyatt who managed to get his opponent down onto the floor. Mocking the Undertaker and calling for his own Tombstone Piledriver, Bray instead got Taker in position for a second Sister Abigail, kissing Taker before he managed to reverse the move and deliver a second Tombstone Piledriver.

With that, The Undertaker ensured his legacy wasn't forgotten, finally picking up the three count and bringing his WrestleMania score to 22-1.

02:59AM GMT:

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon had a hilarious promo which served to remind the WWE Universe that the COO and his wife "owned" them, as well as all of the Superstars and Divas backstage.

That was of course until Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson walked into Levi's Stadium to confront the pair. "Rocky! Rocky! Rocky!" screamed the crowd, showing their love for the People's Champion before launching into further chants of "This is awesome!"

Praising the East Bay because it was the area where he was born, The Rock poked fun at Triple H's choice of attire earlier in the night before asking the COO to help create a big WrestleMania moment and asking for a match right there and then in the middle of the ring.

Staring him down, Triple H returned to his own mic and brought up the fact he 'kicked The Rock's ass' for most of their rivalry in the past.

"The Rock knows that without the McMahons, there would be no Rock", Stephanie added, saying that Vince McMahon, Vince McMahon Jr., and Stephanie McMahon were the people that ensured The Rock ever gained any success.

When The Rock then delivered a crass comeback about Stephanie only being in power because of her father's "Johnson", Stephanie hit the People's Champ with a firm right hand and a slap, demanding he leave the stadium.

As he bounced out of the ring, it looked like The Rock was going to oblige until he came face-to-face with Ronda Rousey, who he then took into the ring to stare down Stephanie and Triple H.

Though Stephanie thought she and Ronda were friends, the UFC fighter didn't back up her claims. "This is my ring" said Stephanie to the fighter, and told her that unless she was going to enjoy the event like a "nice little fan", she should "get the hell out" of her ring.

"You need to understand something Miss Steph. Any ring I step into is mine." replied Ronda, who said that Stephanie should make her leave if she wants her out.

With more smack talk going back and forth, The Rock finally unleashed against The Game, before Ronda sent Triple H to the ground and Stephanie spun the UFC fighter round in the ring, going to hit her before having her arm caught by the professional.

"Don't break my arm!" pleaded Stephanie before being thrown out of the squared circle by Ronda. "What that's called. That is called being owned!" said The Rock, before delivering his classic line, Ronda by his side.

02:30AM GMT: John Cena defeats Rusev for the United States Championship

In a battle not just for the United States Championship, but for respect, John Cena and Rusev put on one heck of a fight with Ravishing Russian Lana watching from ringside.

Despite fighting on behalf of the country WrestleMania is coming live from, John Cena was booed by the crowd upon his entrance into the stadium and chants of "John Cena sucks!" rang out.

Cena and Rusev were both hugely aggressive from the off-set, each going for early pinfalls but gaining no early win. It was Rusev who managed to gain the upper hand from that point, being handed his Russian flag from Lana outside the ring and flying it inside the ring, over Cena's body and mocking the American with his iconic 'You Can't See Me' signal.

From that point, Cena managed to deliver some vintage combinations before hitting the Five Knuckle Shuffle and attempting an AA - something Rusev countered with a slam of his own, picking the momentum up once more.

After going for the superkick and missing, John then tried to get an STF but couldn't quite lock it in before he was slammed to the mat once more, kicking out in a close two count as Rusev kneeled in the middle of the ring, getting angrier by the second.

Moving over to the corner and climbing the ropes, Cena hit Rusev with some headbutts and hard shots before hitting a leg drop across the back of Rusev's neck, driving him face first into the mat.

"Let's go Lana!" chants rang out as the fans showed their appreciation for one of the company's best current on-mic personalities, and momentum shifted once more with Rusev back in the driving seat, going for the Accolade before Cena managed to move out of the way into the corner of the ring.

Arguing with the referee, Rusev allowed Cena to recover and deliver a Tornado DDT from the turnbuckle, leaving the USA Champ dazed and Lana panicked.

Going deeper into the match, Cena managed to lock in an STF near the middle of the ring before Lana tossed one of her high-heeled shoes into the ring, the referee confused as to what had flown across near the competitors. With the distraction allowing Rusev to get to the bottom rope, Cena was sent flying across the ring with Rusev recovering and climbing to the top rope - something we've never seen before. Diving off he hit Cena with a flying headbutt, but only managed to gain a two count.

Rusev went for the Accolade once more but Cena managed to counter, jumping off the middle rope and hitting a Stunner to Rusev in another move that fans have never before seen.

"The Evolution of Cena", Michael Cole called it, as Rusev stood stunned and Cena lifted him into the air hoping for an AA. Rusev managed to get back into the game however, slamming Cena into the mat and finally locking in the Accolade. With Rusev in control, Cena was seen to be fading but fought to stay in it, powered Rusev up and getting back to his feet, becoming the first WWE wrestler to break the Accolade before locking in an STF on Rusev in the centre of the ring.

As Rusev seemed to be getting close to the bottom rope, Cena dragged him back into the middle of the ring but was distracted by Lana who climbed onto the apron. As Rusev ran towards Cena, he ducked out of the way and the Ravishing Russian was sent flying in a hard collision. This gave John the opportunity to finally hit the AA and claim the three count, making him the United States Champion and the first person to beat Rusev.

01:50AM GMT: Paige and AJ Lee defeat The Bella Twins via submission

It's time for the Divas to show off their skills, and in Paige's first ever WrestleMania match she'll be teaming up with frenemy AJ Lee to go up against the WWE's resident Mean Girls, the Bella Twins.

Paige and current Divas Champion Nikki Bella started off the match with Nikki quickly picking up momentum, delivering a swift Alabama Slam to Paige after she smashed AJ off of the side of the ring. Tagging in her sister Brie, the pair were doing brilliantly and as soon as AJ returned to the mat she was sent flying once more by Brie.

Nikki returned to the ring as the legal woman following another tag, and as Paige was getting no help from her partner, AJ attempted for a third time to get up on the apron, being sent tumbling once more by Nikki.

Delivering a hard Rack Attack to Paige, Nikki was shocked when Paige managed to kick out and momentum then changed. Finally managing to bring in her partner AJ, the former three time Divas Champion was on fire and couldn't be stopped, bringing a crossbody to Nikki from the turnbuckle before Paige and Brie tackled one another.

Black Widow was then put onto Nikki by AJ, before Brie managed to break up the submission and caused a distraction whilst AJ's momentum was high. Paige got her own back on Brie by sending her into the steel steps which allowed AJ to pick up the win, locking in a Black Widow in the middle of the ring and causing Nikki to tap out.

01:28AM GMT: Triple H and Sting shook hands following the match! That's something we never thought we'd see!

01:24AM GMT: Triple H defeats Sting via pinfall

Inspired by the Terminator, Triple H came out to face Sting in a match the entire world had been waiting for, and one of the most talked about match-ups there has ever been. Despite the strange set-up, it was nostalgic to see one of the best competitors the WWE has ever seen come to the ring in trademark fashion to go up against Sting in his first ever WWE match.

At 45 years old, Triple H looks absolutely incredible and it had to be hard for Sting not to be intimidated by the muscular icon. Striking first and bringing Triple H to the ground, Sting was lapping up the attention from the crowd who were clearly on-side. The pair went back to basics with shoulder tackles, grapples and drop kicks, with the audience showing their appreciation with chants of, "You've still got it!"

With pinfall or submission being the only way to take the win home in the match, things went outside and Sting was sent flying into the steel steps by Triple H in a harsh assault. Bringing him back into the ring, momentum stayed with the WWE COO, who even found the time to show off to the crowd. A spinebuster saw Triple H get a close two count, but when Sting began to fight back, three members of the incredible DX rushed out to save The Game.

Despite it turning into a four on one, Sting continued on with his dominance, bringing Triple H into the ring but then being hit with a Pedigree following a distraction by Billy Gunn. Though he hit his finisher, Triple H couldn't get the three count and so he went under the ring to get his favourite weapon of choice - the sledgehammer.

Going into the ring with the foreign object, NWO came out to deliver their own distraction and bringing the Monday Night Wars to WrestleMania. Sting then managed to give a Scorpion Deathdrop to Triple H, but the COO managed to kick out himself before being put into the Scorpion Deathlock for the second time this match. Crawling over to grab his sledgehammer, Hulk Hogan got there before him and removed the weapon from the ring. With fighting going on outside the ring, Triple H remained locked in by Sting inside the WrestleMania ring before he reached over and grabbed the bottom rope.

Going for a third Scorpion Deathlock, the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels returned to the WWE ring to deliver Sweet Chin Music to Sting, with Triple H covering the former WCW icon for another close two count.

With their friends on the outside, Triple H's sledgehammer came up against Sting's baseball bat, the latter coming out on top as Sting hit Triple H in the mid-section with the weapon, before breaking the sledgehammer in half and unleashing a heavy assault of punches and kicks against The Game in the corner of the ring.

It was with a hard shot to Sting's head from the end of the sledgehammer however when Triple H picked up the three count and Sting was pinned and defeated in his first ever WWE match.

00:49AM GMT: Randy Orton defeats Seth Rollins by pinfall

With Randy Orton and Seth Rollins embroiled in one of the biggest feuds the WWE has seen for some time, this match was always going to be one of the most memorable of the night.

J&J Security stood outside and acted as distractions early on in the match, giving Rollins motivation to stay on The Viper as the pair exchanged blows and momentum. It didn't take long for Orton to dispose of them however, double DDT-ing the pair off the apron, but being driven into the announce tables by Rollins because of the distraction.

"This is my time!" spat Rollins as he had Orton pushed up in the corner of the ring, momentum continuing to shift from Superstar to Superstar. Neither would give up with prime aggression taking over. This match-up could have on any given day been an incredible main event, and so, with it coming so early on in the match card, it did well to ensure that excitement for the rest of the night was at a high.

Rollins caught the table when he moonsaulted off the ropes onto Orton outside the ring, before throwing Randy back inside, going to the top rope but being knocked down by The Viper before he could strike. With the self-proclaimed future of the WWE hurt, Randy joined him on the turnbuckle, going to the top rope in an attempt at a superplex, but being punched in the gut by Rollins who was able to counter. Pounding the back of Orton with his fists, he was then backdropped by Orton who stayed on the turnbuckle, going to the top once more and hitting Rollins with an incredible cross-body.

Orton followed this with a DDT off the ropes, and despite likely getting the win if he covered Rollins, he decided to continue on with the assault, going for an RKO before then being scooped up Rollins for a two-count and receiving a kick to the face. Despite the stun, Orton gave a perfectly-executed RKO to 'The Future', but it wasn't enough to put Seth away, leaving Randy, the crowd and the commentary team shocked.

Rollins was then lined up for the punt - something that has taken out so many before him. With a distraction from J&J Security, and both receiving an RKO for the trouble, Rollins got the chance to recover and deliver a Curb Stomp to The Viper, but it was something that Orton was able to recover from, getting the shoulder up just as the referee's hand came down for the three count.

Going in for a second Curb Stomp, Rollins was sent flying into the air despite getting his foot on Orton's neck, with Orton striking for a second RKO and finally keeping Rollins' shoulders on the mat for a full three count.

00:25AM GMT: Daniel Bryan wins the Intercontinental Championship

Kicking off the main show is the 7-man ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship, strung up by none other than Hall of Famer Pat Patterson himself.

Bad News Barrett attempted to defend his championship against Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Stardust, Luke Harper, R-Truth and Dean Ambrose, and when the latter reached the ring, the bell was promptly struck as the seven men laid into one another.

It didn't take long for all seven of the competitors to be on the outside of the ring, and whilst six of them excluding R-Truth jumped on one another from inside the ring and from up ladders, R-Truth was the first to set up a ladder in the middle of the ring and attempt to reach the Intercontinental belt, despite his fear of heights.

Due to his apprehension, Barrett got inside and battled off his rival, picking up a ladder and ramming it into Truth before Bryan kicked it into the reigning champ. Stardust got in the ring, but Bryan managed to fight him off just before Harper smashed the ladder right into Bryan's skull.

Bryan got his own back by wrapping Harper up on the ladder and delivering a barrage of kicks into his abdomen, but then Ziggler and Ambrose recovered and fought one another near the top of the ladder in the middle of the ring, being taken off the ladder by Barrett whom the pair then teamed up to throw outside the ring.

Stardust was brilliant in playing up to the crowds, acting distressed and distraught whenever the crowd began to chant, "Cody! Cody! Cody!". Going under the ring, Stardust took out his own sparkling ladder, but Barrett broke off one of the steps and used it as a weapon against Stardust. Ambrose delivered some metal justice to Barrett himself, going into the ring with a small ladder and facing Harper and Ziggler.

"Holy sh*t" chants filled the arena when Barrett superplexed Stardust from the top of one of the tallest ladders in the arena. The wrestlers were being rewarded by the adoring fans for putting their bodies on the line in an incredible match-up that showcased their brilliant skill.

Blood soaked Luke Harper's already-dirty vest, but who had been cut is still not clear. Sending Ambrose out of the ring and flying into a pair of ladders, Harper began to climb the ladder in an attempt to grab the belt, but Ziggler jumped on his back and managed to stop the attack on the title.

"This is awesome!" continued the crowd, and with Ziggler all alone in the ring, climbing to the top of the ladder, it looked like he was going to become champ, before Barrett pulled Ziggler off and delivered a strong Bullhammer not just to him, but to Stardust as well.

Bryan then entered the ring and ended up giving a Running Knee to Barrett before climbing the ladder with Ziggler running to the top on the other side. Both battled it out at the top of the ladder delivering punches and headbutts, with Ziggler first to be sent flying from the top and Bryan taking the Intercontinental Championship.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" screamed the crowd, and the best result the match could have ended with was upon the Staples Center.

23:48PM GMT: Big Show wins the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

The second match of the night is the second annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal!

Curtis Axel stripped himself of his #Axelmania tank top before being body-surfed across the ring by the rest of the wrestlers in the Battle Royal, becoming the first elimination of the match.

The Miz and Mizdow at first seemed to be working together and attempted to eliminate Alex Riley, but were unsuccessful with the returning wrestler almost eliminating Miz himself, before Mizdow saved his friend and chucked Riley out of the match and to the mat.

NXT star Hideo Itami faced down Big Show, slapping the world's largest athlete before being manhandled and having the Knockout Punch delivered, sending him out of the match, just before Kane eliminated both members of Los Matadores.

The strength of Mark Henry saw him send Tyson Kidd flying on top of three previous eliminees before The Ascension began to team on the World's Strongest Man and eliminated him - one of the favourites.

Ryback then eliminated both of The Ascension with his brute strength, before also taking out Darren Young and Titus O'Neil. Meanwhile, New Day attempted to team up on Big Show, before he eliminated all three of them whilst standing on the outside of the ring, holding on to the ropes to stay alive in the match.

Kane gave a double Chokeslam to The Miz and Mizdow before last year's winner Cesaro was almost sent flying by Kane, with the power of Cesaro then turning things on Kane and eliminating him.

The top five in the match came down to Cesaro, Big Show, The Miz, Mizdow and Ryback.

Big Show then threw Cesaro out of the ring before Ryback delivered a huge slam to Show, running straight into Big Show's wrist and being eliminated.

With former friends Miz and Mizdow facing the largest athlete, Big Show had a smile on his face like never before. When Miz walked towards Show looking for help from Mizdow however, he shook his head before the crowd began to chant "Let's Go Mizdow!" and "No! No! No!"

"You ungrateful little slimeball!" shouted Miz at his former stunt double, before Mizdow shouted "I quit!" and threw his ex-boss over the ropes, eliminated him from the match. All this went down whilst Big Show stood in the corner, taking it all in. Would the seven foot giant be able to be eliminated by the small yet determined Mizdow?

"There may be a miracle here!" shouted Jerry Lawler from commentary, and as Mizdow did hisbest to pummel Big Show, he was almost eliminated but got himself back in the ring. A running shoulder smash sent Mizdow smashing into the middle of the ring, but still the match went on, but when Big Show came charging at Mizdow, the smaller athlete pulled down the top rope and almost sent Big Show out in second place for the second year running.

With some strange tactics which included biting Big Show's hand, it was unfortunate when Mizdow was thrown from the ropes outside the ring, and Big Show became the winner of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

23:17PM GMT: Cesaro and Tyson Kidd retain the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Cesaro and Tyson Kidd were defending their titles against The Usos, New Day and Los Matadores, and it didn't take long for things to get brutal with Cesaro sending one half of The Usos into the barricade, subsequently injuring Jey and leaving Jimmy to go it alone.

Jimmy dished out superkicks to four men in the ring, becoming dominant on his own with his brother taken away by medical. New Day then launched into their own attack on Cesaro before Los Matadores tagged their way into the action.

Natalya also got in on the action, but Naomi then hit the Canadian with a move she calls the Rear View. Meanwhile in the ring, New Day delivered the Big Ending to half of Los Matadores before all the guys hit the ring once more to break up the three-count.

Before too long, current champions Cesaro and Kidd regained momentum, with Cesaro delivering a strong uppercut to Jimmy Uso before being kicked out of the ring by Los Matadores.

With all men down, the remaining Uso delivered a big spash to Big E before Cesaro picked up the victory and retained the titles for he and Kidd, stealing the win.

For what could be an extremely messy match with so many men in and out of the ring, it moved fluidly with many of the men involved proving just why they're some of the best in the business.
