It’s hard to ignore the growing popularity of veganism[i] and as the trend continues to gather momentum, so does supermarket Aldi’s offering.  With four new frozen meat-free options joining the range this month, there will be plenty on offer to choose from.

Aldi's Vegan No Chicken Burgers

Say hello to the newest vegan sausage roll on the block…Mae’s Kitchen Vegan, No Sausage Rolls (£1.19, 4 pack) are wrapped in flaky, golden puff pastry and are the perfect meat-free and vegan contender to the much-loved British favourite.  Made using soya, these sausage rolls have been lovingly created to be as good as the real thing and at just 30p each, they are worth a try!

Also joining Aldi’s new frozen vegan range are Mae’s Kitchen Vegan No Beef Burgers and Mae’s Kitchen Vegan No Chicken Burger.  They’re everything you would expect from a burger…thick, flavoursome and juicy; you’ll find it hard to believe they’re vegan!

Mae’s Kitchen Vegan No Beef Burgers (£1.99, 2 pack) are plant-based burgers that resemble a quarter pounder in size, shape and colour and you’ll find it difficult to believe they’re made from wheat, soya and pea protein, onions and mushrooms – not an ounce of meat in sight!

At an amazing 19g of protein per burger, you can enjoy the texture and flavour of beef, without any of the guilt.

Mae’s Kitchen Vegan No Chicken Burgers (£1.99, 2 pack) are made with vegetable protein and covered in a golden crumb coating to give the taste and texture of a chicken burger. These delicious chicken alternatives will rival any fast food chain favourites and will cost you a fraction of the price too…we know, it sounds too good to be true!

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi, says: “The launch of our new vegan range is in response to our growing, ethically inspired customer base, looking for delicious alternatives to meat and another example of our ongoing commitment to cater for all diets, at everyday low prices. We look forward to expanding our vegan offering even further over the coming months.”
