Eric Trump says his father will win back the White House in 2024

The former US president's son Eric Trump claims that the four indictments against the controversial billionaire have only made him more powerful both politically and financially.

Despite his legal issues, Trump is thrashing his rivals in polling for the Republican presidential nomination and Eric believes that the American public are "infuriated" with the treatment of his father.

Trump Jnr told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "What has happened in the last five months will make him president of the United States again.

"The nonsense that he's faced over the last five months is transparent to every single American and will win him the White House in 2024."

Eric hit out at the system that has allowed Democrat district attorneys to prosecute the Republican politician and suggested that politics in the country has been "weaponised".

He said: "Our country is sick and tired of the weaponisation of politics. They are not fooling anybody. Americans are infuriated.

"The more times they indict, the stronger he becomes, politically and financially for the campaign. It raises him a tremendous amount of money."

Trump recently had his mugshot taken after being arrested in Georgia for attempting to overturn his 2020 election loss in the state and his campaign has seized on the image to boost fundraising and galvanise supporters.

T-shirts, bumper stickers and mugs have been emblazoned with the photograph along with the "never surrender" tagline.
