Mine, yours; people we might never meet?
Have no doubt, they have been said before;
another time, another place: can never be said enough.
The Human Condition, as it might be described;
veering between passivity and action,
looking for reasons as it goes.
Why, I ask? The response? "No one knows".
Damn their egos, damn their lies;
"pause a moment, and reflect" say the wise.
So few listen, so few will. Why should they?
They have decided who to despise.
