The 57-year-old television presenter returned to co-present the breakfast television show on Monday (10.04.17) alongside Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins, and the much-loved host has revealed his 57-year-old spouse was not best pleased by his early start because it impacted on her snooze.

Speaking on the show earlier today, the Irish star said: "No [Ruth's] not happy. It was a ridiculous time - 2.40am or something alarm clock today. She was not pleased."

And Eamonn has joked the couple will have to organise "separate sleeping arrangements" for the next few days as he takes over and presents the programme over the Easter period during Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid's absence.

He quipped: "I think there will be separate sleeping arrangements brought in. I think that's the way it's going to be."

Eamonn had a busy day ahead as shortly after his stint on 'Good Morning Britain', which is also known as 'GMB', he joined his partner to present 'This Morning' together.

Eamonn, who hosted 'GMTV' for 12 years and 'Sky News Sunrise' for 11 years before leaving the latter last year, felt "great" returning to the programme.

He said: "It's different but the same in many ways ... it's great to get back in and just be involved in events so thanks for having me."
