Taylor Swift and The Weeknd lead the nominations for the iHeartRadio Music Awards.

The 'Style' hitmaker and the 25-year-old singer/songwriter received seven nods apiece, and the pair will battle it out for the coveted Song of the Year prize at the star-studded ceremony at the Forum in Los Angeles on April 3.

Taylor and The Weeknd will also face off in the Album of the Year category for their respective '1989' and 'Beauty Behind the Madness' efforts.

But they will face stiff competition from the likes of Adele ('25'), Sam Smith ('In the Lonely Hour') and the blonde beauty's good friend Ed Sheeran for 'x'.

Adele, who received five nominations, will also take on 26-year-old Taylor for the Female Artist of the Year accolade, alongside Carrie Underwood, Meghan Trainor and Selena Gomez.

Selena's only other nomination comes in the Best Fan Army category, which will see her Selenator supporters aim to overcome her ex Justin Bieber's Beliebers and her good friend Taylor's Swifties in the socially voted category.

Ed and Sam, who have four nods each, will go up against The Weeknd for the Male Artist of the Year gong, but they will have to beat off competition from Luke Bryan and Justin if they are going to triumph in the category.

Justin also has five nods to his name but may be disappointed to miss out on a nomination for Song of the Year.

Taylor ('Blank Space'), The Weeknd ('Can't Feel My Face'), and Adele ('Hello') will take on Walk the Moon's 'Shut Up and Dance', and 'Uptown Funk' by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars for the main prize.

Walk the Moon received a hat-trick of nods, one more than One Direction and the two groups will go head-to-head for the Best Duo/Group of the Year prize alongside Fall Out Boy, Maroon 5 and Zac Brown Band.

The iHeartRadio Music Awards will celebrate the music that was heard throughout the year across iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide and on iHeartRadio.
