Join in with Stacey this October

Stacey Solomon is donning pink and hopes that the rest of you will be joining her.

The singer will join hundreds of thousands of people all over the UK who will be taking part in Breast Cancer Campaign's biggest, pinkest fundraising event, wear it pink.

On Friday October 28, businesses, schools, colleges and individuals all the country over are being encouraged to wear it pink and donate £2 each to fund Campaign's innovative world-class breast cancer research.

Stacey says: "I am delighted to support wear it pink for Breast Cancer Campaign. Beating breast cancer is a cause really close to my heart as when my Auntie was diagnosed it affected our whole family.

"Breast Cancer Campaign is a charity dedicated to funding world class research which taked us a step close to finding a cure. There are loads of really fun ways to get involved in wear it pink on Friday 28 October and help raise money.

"It's easy, just wear pink at work or at school, dress up in pink on a night out or even throw your own pink party! Anyone can take part and no matter how pink you go, your £2 donation will help raise money for Campaign to continue researching the cure for breast cancer.

"With one in eight women diagnosed in their lifetime, we all have a reason to wear pink and be part of the cure."

Last year hundreds of thousands took part in wear it pink raising a staggering £2.4 million for breast cancer research to help improve survival rates for the 48,000 people still being diagnosed every year.

Many other celebrities are also supporting the fund raising day, including former model and chef, Lorraine Pascale and breast cancer survivors Linda Nolan and Coronation Street's Sally Dynevor.

Rebecca Guy, wear it pink events manager says: "Whether you discretely wear pink socks or turn up to work in a tutu your £2 donation for wearing pink will help us to make this wear it pink day the pinkest yet!"

Mark it in your calendar ladies, and if you don't already own something pick up a t-shirt, a belt or a new lipstick and show your help for the cause.
