Indulge for a time out

Indulge for a time out

We all strive to be the best we can be, trying our hardest to keep everything in line. Work stress affects our social life and our social life drama can affect our work. Can we ever win?

In this day and age we find it hard to take time out for ourselves, to regain just that little piece of ourselves that stress takes, leaving us tired and lacking in confidence. So now it’s time to bring it all back and for us to be selfish again.

Treat yourself shopping

There’s nothing better than treating yourself once in a while. The thrill of doing or buying something which is out of sync with everyday routine can take the edge off the stress beforehand.

It could be a dress, a feel-good book or just a cheesy CD. Whatever your choice of treat, love it, not just like it.

Music is for life

"If music be the food of love, play on,” some very wise words by William Shakespeare. Music is at the centre of all our lives, from folk to R&B, we all have a taste for what makes us let off some steam.

Find out what music makes you smile, to help you forget the little stresses in life.

Have a wine…

When nothing looks like it’s going to make you relax then there is one thing that will. Alcohol. A nice glass or two of wine will help you relax into a state of comfort releasing the stresses of the day. It’s between sober and drunk that will set your mind at ease. Don’t over do it to the point where you’re telling someone how you really feel about them while intoxicated. You may regret it!

…and a moan

When all is said and done, sometimes the only chance you’re going to have of feeling better is to just moan about everything and anything. Therapists have encouraged clients to release all negative energy through speech, just to feel that little bit lighter. Go on, have a moan!

Pamper deluxe

Every woman loves to be pampered and relaxation is one of the common stress reliefs there is. Whether you’re a full body massage fan or just bathe in mud nowhere can be a more relaxing place than the spa.

If you can’t afford the spa, invite some friends round for a pampering session in your own home.

Exercise it out

Raising your heart rate helps the body to relax and pamper itself in a natural way. When energy is released you get a burst of energy that makes your skin feel like its glowing.

The gym, in your living room or in the park, it’s a great way to wind down and lose the unwanted pounds. Multi-tasking at it’s finest!

The random weekend away

It maybe an obvious choice, but booking a week in advance will make it seem spontaneous and adventurous. Even if it’s in the UK, a quiet weekend away will sort out the working blues.

Even Paris is a tunnel away, and a perfect getaway with the girls or partner.
