Kylie Minogue receives honorary degree from Essex University

Kylie Minogue receives an honorary Doctor of Health Science from Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford.
The pop princess has been awarded in recognition of her work promoting breast cancer awareness after she has battled the disease.
The 43-year-old is one of the 12 people people to be conferred honorary degrees.
She said: "I never went to university so my dad will be very proud when he sees the pictures.
"I am here partly for the work I do promoting breast cancer awareness.
"When you are diagnosed yourself it becomes a lot more real and you appreciate at first hand the hard work that goes on to support patients through it."
The Australian was diagnosed with the disease in 2005 and underwent surgery and chemotherapy.
