Duchess Catherine arriving in Singapore this week

Kate Middleton has impressed us with her style choices and it would seem she's made an impact with her impeccable hairstyle too.

Kate topped a new survey, conducted by leading salon products retailer Fabriah.com, which polled 500 women on who they thought had the best celebrity hair.

The experts at Fabriah.com compiled the shortlist of the top ten celebrity coiffeurs before opening it up to the public’s vote.

The Duchess, famed for luscious locks, polled over a quarter of the vote. Holly Willoughby came second in the poll scoring just under a fifth (19%) of the vote.

In third place came singing sensation Lana Del Rey who achieved 16% of the public’s vote. Lana, famed for her barmy beehives, Holly and Kate were the only celebs in the top ten to score double digits.

Once idolised for having the best hair of the decade, Jennifer Anniston has slipped into fourth place only managing to achieve nine per cent of the vote. Only one per cent behind, in fifth place was Kelly Brook.

Sixth and seventh place were reserved for newlywed Rochelle Hume and Victoria Beckham who scored six and five per cent respectively.

The bottom three places were reserved for Kim Kardashian and Nicky Minaj, who both polled four per cent, and the X Factor judge Tulisa who scored three.

A spokesperson from Fabriah.com commented: “Truly great hair comes about rarely and when it does it is a real trend setter. If we had taken this poll ten years ago Jennifer Anniston would have probably been number one.

“Kate Duchess of Cambridge has become somewhat of a fashion goddess. Anything she wears seems to fly immediately off the shelves, likewise hairdressers across the country are seeing an increasing demand for the Middleton-style locks.

“Both Holly Willoughby and Lana Del Rey are worthy holders of the silver and bronze spots. Whereas Holly sports a timeless but classic hairstyle, Del Rey is far more adventurous and has pioneered the return of the beehive into fashion.

“One shock result was seeing Victoria Beckham so low down on the list. The fact she is seen as one of the most fashionable women in the world and to poll only five per cent of the vote is quite a surprise.

“I think we are beginning to see the start of the backlash against fakery in hairstyles which is part of the reason I believe the likes of Nicky Minaj and Tulisa polled so poorly.”
