Beauty on Trial: Smashbox Foundation Primer

Foundation primer from US cosmetics company Smashbox is the next long lasting beauty product to face inspection by the Female First Beauty Testers.

This best selling formula costs £23.24 for 30ml from Just Beauty Direct and claims to 'create a perfect canvas for foundation application' so let's see what our tests show....

The light silky texture of the primer makes it nice and refreshing on your face as you apply after moiturising and it doesn't make our faces greasy at all.

It does seem to leave a smoother finish when foundation is applied over the top and a little make up seems to go a lot further after using this primer first.

As for improving the longevity of our make up look- it really did seem to work. Even after a busy day in the office with lots of time spent touching our chins in a pensive manner, and stuffing our faces with sandmwiches our foundation still seems to be in tact- result!

Smashbox Foundation Primer is really popular with the celebrities and fashion-luvvies in LA and after our road test we can see why. Definitely a worthwhile investment if you want your foundation to last throughout the day.
