It may be the beginning of December, but we are already looking ahead to the exciting movies of 2014... American Hustle is one of the January films that we really are excited to see.
We are excited because it is a film that not only sees the return of David O.Russell in the director’s chair but it also boasts one of the most impressive cast lists of 2014.
American Hustle sees O.Russell reunite with many actors that he has worked with before as the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Christian Bale and Amy Adams are all on board. Double Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner rounds off the impressive line-up, as he works with the director for the first time.
American Hustle is a movie that we have been looking forward to for some time, and it is already whipping up a storm with the critics.

If you are an O.Russell film fan you will notice that many of the cast list have worked together before; Lawrence and Cooper are reuniting after the success of Silver Lining Playbook, while Bale and Adams are working together for the first time since the success of The Fighter.
O.Russell movies have had a good track record when it comes to the Oscar in recent years; Bale won Best Supporting Actor for The Fighter, while Adams was nominated for Best Supporting Actress. Jennifer Lawrence scooped Bes Actress earlier this year for Silver Linings Playbook, while Cooper was nominated for Best Actor.
American Hustle is already being tipped as a major Oscar player, and any of these fine actors could find themselves in the mix or even winning.
Set in the seductive world of one of the most stunning scandals to rock the United States, American Hustle tells the story of brilliant con man Irving Rosenfeld (Bale), who along with his equally cunning British partner and lover Sydney Prosser (Adams) is forced to work for a wild unhinged FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Cooper).
DiMaso pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia that’s as dangerous as it is enchanting. Jeremy Renner is Carmine Polito, the passionate, volatile, New Jersey political operator caught between the con-artists and Feds.
