The official synopsis for the film reads: “Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat.  Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.”

This week, two new clips have been released to whet the appetites of fans who are anxious to see the movie on the big screen. The first takes us underwater (with added images from actor Ludi Lin), while the second sees the characters involved contemplating leaving their small town:

Elizabeth Banks also stars in the flick as alien invader and Power Rangers enemy, Rita Repulsa, while Bryan Cranston reprises his role as Zordon; the mentor to the Rangers and original ancient Red Ranger.

Are you looking forward to the new Power Rangers movie? Those behind the project are certainly going to have to pull out all the stops if they’re to make it a success. With that being said, the teasers and trailers we’ve seen to-date certainly have us thinking it’s going to be one heck of a ride.

Power Rangers comes to cinemas in the UK on March 24, 2017.
