Tom Holland recently made history with his latest Spider-Man film No Way Home, and shows no signs of slowing down when it comes to picking up memorable roles.

His appearance in new movie Uncharted, based on the much-loved video game series of the same name, wasn't without controversy. Longtime fans said that he was too young to play the lead role of Nathan 'Nate' Drake but, Hollywood's obsession with origin stories meant that he may just have been the perfect choice when all was said and done.

Enjoying success at the box office, the film has been the most financially successful video game adaptation since the release of Sonic the Hedgehog, even managing to score the biggest opening of the year so far.

Speaking during his appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, not only did Holland reveal that one of his fellow Spider-Man: No Way Home actors wore a suit with a fake butt, but he made comments regarding his Uncharted co-star Mark Wahlberg.

Though Wahlberg is seen as a playful figure by many, he's also quite commanding and intimidating if the time calls for it. This is reflected in Holland's comments, who said: "You can tease Mark [Wahlberg], but he's also quite a scary guy. So, like, I have a security guy [Jack], who's one of my best mates, but I only tease Mark when Jack's around."

Holland is of course joking; the pair's chemistry in Uncharted is one of the best aspects of the film and it's unlikely they would have been able to conjure such a brilliant relationship on screen if the young actor really was terrified of Wahlberg.

Instead, the Spider-Man lead is simply falling back on his joking nature and cheeky personality that has made him such a fan-favourite member not only of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the whole of Hollywood. The sky seems to be the limit for the actor and we're sure that these successful recent years are just the beginning of what will be a career that stays in high-gear for decades to come.

Uncharted is available in cinemas across the UK now.
