With her single 'Summer Love' being released next week, and some shows in New York coming up, Daniela Brooker answered our questions.

-Are you excited for the NY shows?
Yes I love going to the states!

-How has the reaction been for Turn It Up?
It has been great. It is a fun pop record that shouldn't be taken too seriously, and I think that has come across accordingly.

-Are you hoping Summer Love will find similar success?
Yes, I hope so.

-How has it been working with Louis Reed?
He is great. He is a major perfectionist, so he works me hard!

-What stage is your album at?
I am currently still exploring different sounds and seeing what route to go down to finalise the album.

-What can we expect from it?
It will be a record that has somehting for everyone. If you are into upbeat dance tracks, the album will have that, and then if stripped back music is more your thing, I will definitly have something for you also.

-How do you think you stand out from the rest of the music scene in the UK?
Well I am half Latin and always try to incorporate that into my music with Latin rhythms or Spanish lyrics.

-How was the photoshoot with Steve Meisel?
He is amazing. It was great to work with him. Photoshoots usually aren't my thing, but I had so much fun shooting in Brooklyn with the crew.

-Would you ever consider a side-project like modeling alongside music?
No way, haha! I love acting so I maybe in the future I might dabble in that. I also love songwriting so I would love to write for other artists alongside myself.

-You write in Spanish and English, do you take musical influences from both cultures?
Definitly. My  mum wouldn't be happy otherwise!

-What are your plans for the rest of 2011?
I will be completing the album and touring in the states and the UK as much as possible and hopefully creating shows and music that people enjoy.
