Stars Team Up For Haiti Song

The Pogues star Shane MacGowan, Johnny Depp and Nick Cave have teamed up to record a charity single for the Haiti earthquake relief effort.

The trio has recruited Primal Scream star Bobby Gillespie, Chrissie Hynde and British punk icons Mick Jones and Glen Matlock to record a cover of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins hit I Put a Spell on You.

MacGowan's partner Victoria Clarke reveals the get together was "pulled together in a matter of days”.

Proceeds from the track, which will be released at the end of February, will benefit Irish charity Concern Worldwide, which has links to Haiti.
